NEW!!!! 2011 State of Adolescent Sexual Health Report

Data and statistics on the status of adolescent sexual health assists Colorado Youth Matter in working toward its mission and targeting effective policies and programs to fit the needs of Colorado communities.   Among the notable data from the 2011 report:

  • A baby is born to a Colorado teen every 84 minutes.
  • Almost 9% of births to youth under 18 were second births.
  • The teen birth rate among Latina teens in Colorado has declined more than any other race/ethnicity (by nearly 30%) from 2005-2009.
  • Denver's teen birth rate has declined more than any other urban Colorado county - by 26% since 2005 - and by nearly 50% since 1991.
